Il y a en lui un m\u00e9lange de Caspar David Friedrich, de Whistler et de James Tissot. Son <em>Caprice en jaune mineur<\/em> est une pochade amusante, une oeuvre pr\u00e9texte pour \u00e9tudier les d\u00e9grad\u00e9s de teinte allant du jaune au blanc, du cr\u00e8me au beige. Une femme vue de dos marche sur un chemin. Sa silhouette se d\u00e9coupe au centre, le tout dans une perspective enneig\u00e9e qui laisse deviner des collines lointaines. C&rsquo;est sobre,il fait chaud et froid.
